United Methodist Women

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN OF ARCH STREET

Purpose: The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Who can join: Any woman may become a member who chooses to belong and is committed to the purpose. Although you must make a choice to become a member, you do not have to be a member to come to our meetings!  All women are welcome.

Meetings: We usually meet monthly September through June on the second Sunday of the month in the second floor conference room of the church immediately after the 11 am Worship Service. However, some meeting dates are changed to avoid conflict with other church events. Check the calendar below.

In addition, the Ruth Circle meets at 10 am on the third Tuesday of the month at Simpson House under the leadership of Shirlee Chambers, 215-871-6276.

What we do: We work on mission projects, discuss books from the United Methodist Women Reading Program, raise money for mission both here and around the world, and support, strengthen, and learn from each other.
